What is a direct cremation?

A direct cremation means there is no hearse, pallbearers or ceremony at the crematorium. We bring the deceased from any location within Adelaide into our care. The cremation takes place at our trusted crematorium, Centennial Park, and we let the family know the date and time of the cremation so they can have a private moment of reflection in the comfort of their home or special place.

The ashes are then hand delivered to the family.

Family are then free to gather for a more unique and personal send-off.

Why?

There are a whole variety of reasons why someone might choose to have a direct cremation.

Sometimes it is the express wish of the person who has died that no-one should attend their funeral. Sometimes the geography of the situation dictates things such as, family living interstate or overseas. And sometimes it is just that there is a much more significant way of marking the death of someone you love than just attending a service.

We have wide experience of helping people to find ways that feel appropriate to them to say goodbye to the physical presence of their loved one. So whatever your needs, we hope that we can help you achieve what you want.
